Alex Puddu – The Golden Age of Danish Pornography (LP)

Alex Puddu’s groundbreaking album, the soundtrack of The Golden Age of Danish Pornography from 2011, will be released on June 11, 2018 as a new reissue on the artist’s own label Al Dente, with the original X-rated Danish cover.
The album has been mastered at Soundworks Recording Studio in N.Y. C and includes three previously unreleased tracks from the original recording session: “Brazil Erotique”, “Party Sequence” and “The Key Of Love” The tracks “Kinky
Hairdresser” and “Madam Delight” from the original release are not included on the reissue.

The music on this record is inspired by and composed by Alex Puddu for “The Golden Age of Danish Pornography” – a collection of vintage hardcore short films from the early seventies,1971-74 directed by Danish porn pioneer Freddy Weiss – available on DVD from Pink Flamingo Entertainment.
Classic-styled funk from Alex Puddu – not only the greatest record we’ve heard from him so far, but a set that’s definitely worthy of its “Golden Age” claim in the title! The music is all new, but it was done for a series of short Danish porno films from the 70’s – and Puddu gets a sound that’s right on the money for the vintage – loads of great short funky soundtrack
modes that are perfect for the time – handled with tight rhythms, great basslines, and somewicked jazzy solos that really send the whole thing home.
